i have officially lived in colorado for a month now, and i am loving it more and more every day. max is here now, and i am starting to get into my regular schedule. it's a rainy day today, so i figured what better to do then watch EDWARD SCISSORHANDS on tv, and update my blog. i havent seen this movie in ages, but it definitely reminds me of just how creepy johnny depp is! i can't wait for the new alice in wonderland movie to come out! i have a feeling it will be the peak of his creepiness.
anyways, i have three weeks left in the CORE program at school, then, assuming i pass my tests, i get to start taking guests! crazy! after that it's just about 11 months till i am done! i am thinking about interning at max's school, and University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with their theatre departments. we had a guest speaker last week, james ryder, (rydermakeuplabs.com) and he talked a lot about the cosmetology industry outside of just working in a salon and how interning can be key in getting you certain jobs. it was inspiring! james does makeup for reese witherspoon, katie holmes, and scarlett johnason! so it was very cool to meet him and get to listen to some of his tips. he taught us how to do golden globe eyes in 20 seconds!.. see what i mean? school is fun! all the time.
cutting week this week, and then after that it is spa week! facials, nails and waxing (eeek!) here i come!

Times a changin'

I had a friend today ask me if I couldn't just stay in one spot. haha.
I have so much I want to see/do, I don't think that idea is going to work out for me. My ultimate goal is to marry someone with lots of money that won't have to work, and then we can just travel the world together. But seeing as how I doubt that plan will work out in my favor, my funding will soon be cut off and I will have to stay in the same place for a long time and work. So until that happens- there is no telling where I will be from one year to the next. :)
Anyways, I just completed my first week of school in Colorado Springs at PM, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! School is so much fun. My teacher has all sorts of cool learning techniques, and we literally take about five minutes of notes and then get to go try it on either our mannequin heads or each other! I already have so many ideas of what I want to do with my hair, but we aren't allowed to do our hair until we graduate from CORE (the first 6 weeks of class) so now it's just a countdown till I actually get to do it!
My roommate and I have been trying a couple different churches. Church shopping is stressful. So far we tried the infamous New Life Church (owned by Focus on the Family) and then Underground Church. Both were okay, but nothing I can see myself really fitting at. So the search continues!
Between school, learning my way around, church shopping and making new friends I have been so busy! Back to school tomorrow, but I just thought it was time to get back into the habit of blogging.
Until Next time.
